Welcome to Just Right Ranch Quality Gypsy Cobs! Proudly owned and operated by Derek, Angie and our son Coy in the heart of the Black Hills, Custer, South Dakota. We dedicate ourselves to our breeding program, producing quality foals that showcase the consistency of conformation, bone, girth, hair, feather and temperament in our Traditional Gypsy Cobs. We are a small operation with quality through and through that we 100% stand behind. During our research, which we took our time with, (over 2 years), we found the lineage that we wanted to start our herd for quality, consistency, traditional look, very well balanced overall as well as temperament. We ultimately decided to imported our whole herd from the Down’s Family with SD Cobs in the UK. Looking out at our pastures, having our herd, foals and stallions as a reality, just seeing them, has been a lifelong dream of ours for over 20 years. We were able to accomplish it through wonderful communication and friendships along the way with our cohorts in England, who I cherish very much. We have built this herd with hard work, dedication, analyzing who should be bred to who, which we do not take lightly. We choose our breeding’s based on careful thought and what we would ultimately like to see or make better from the two in which we pick (which is what breeding is about, right?!) We adore each and everyone of our gypsy’s. We love and adore all of them so much, as well as, caring for them, being with them, spending time with them, riding/driving, along with breeding them. We believe it shows how passionate we are about our program and how much we love them through each of the gypsies we have.
We love our beautiful views, hills, and valleys running through our property. The horses are so happy and love it here. You will find the world of Traditional Gypsy Cobs is an amazing one!
